May, 2006

May is woodcutting time among the Winter menfolk (relatives and friends of Bob's cousin, "Pete," gather at his northwoods cabin to cut firewood for the Fall's deer hunting). Here's Bob and cousin Peter standing in front of some of the haul.
May is also "Relay for Life" time in Trumbull County (an event Bob learned to enjoy while at Christ Church, Warren). Here's Kathi Kovacic, one of the Christ Church crew, "in costume" (she was Bob's Director of Christian Formation).
You may have seen the David Sutherland film, Country Boys, on PBS; Cody Perkins, one of the stars, visited Cleveland Heights as the guest of St. Paul's Church (where our Paul works); Bob, who was invited to the potluck for Cody and his wife, took this photo of Cody (r.) with Youth Minister Sam McDonald.

But of course, the really important thing about May is that it's Launch Month! Here's Rag Time being hoisted into the water to begin another season of fun on the Lake.
