May, 2007

Yikes! Another month with no photos! But lots of activity, such as:

  • An exhibition at the Cleveland Museum of Art, Monet in Normandy. Fifty of his paintings from all stages of his career. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience (both Bob and Penney are big fans of Impressionism, a movement which received its name from one of Monet's paintings).

  • A marvelous piano recital by Bob's longtime friend Sarah-Theresa Murakami

  • a 25th-wedding-anniversary party for longtime friends Clint and Marcie Hist, at which we got to see a lot of former parishioners from St. Thomas Church

  • Another wonderful concert at Cloverleaf Middle Schools; Andrew's bands (7th-grade, 8th-grade and Jazz Ensemble) shone again!

  • A very sad farewell to friend and former parishioner Guy Carmichael, who died suddenly mid-month.

  • Serving as backup adults for the Cline children (Gary and Maryanne were off getting her sister married on a cruise to the Bahamas!)

  • A long and lovely lunch with former parishioners Joel and Carolyn Treybig, in whose wedding Bob participated; both are professors of music at the college level and have an enchanting daughter, Paige. Actually, we did get a couple of pictures from them afterwards; they are shown below.
